 When I were a lad we didn't make adverts like that!

Some of you may have worked on the longest advert to be made in the UK and the biggest advert to be filmed in Liverpool. With 762 extras, early starts of 4am and full period costume in the July heat (and rain) everyone did there best over the 6 days of filming.

The 122 second advert which celebrates Hovis's 122nd Anniversary takes us on a journey of moments from British history from Bakers in the 1890's, Suffragettes and the First World War at the beginning of the Century, The Wartime Blitz of the 40's, Englands World Cup Win in the 60's, The Miners Strike of the 80's right up to the Millennium celebrations with fireworks.

The epic advert will be shown during Coronation Street on Friday 12th September and will be shown just 4 more times at its full length
